Trump Says He Deserves “Seven Nobel Peace Prizes” for Stopping Wars
Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has reignited his long-running campaign for the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming that his administration has halted multiple global conflicts and deserves not just one, but “seven” such honors.
Speaking at the American Cornerstone Institute Founder’s Dinner on Saturday, Trump rattled off a list of disputes he said the United States had resolved under his leadership: India-Pakistan, Thailand-Cambodia, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Kosovo-Serbia, Israel-Iran, Egypt-Ethiopia, and Rwanda-Congo.
“Just look at that. We stopped all of them. And 60 percent of them were stopped because of trade,” Trump said, boasting that he warned India he would halt trade if border clashes continued. “They stopped,” he added.

Trump’s Nobel Ambition
Trump emphasized that resolving the Russia-Ukraine war could seal his Nobel chances. “I said, ‘What about the seven others? I should get a Nobel Prize for each one.’ But they said, ‘If you stop Russia and Ukraine, sir, you should be able to get the Nobel.’ I said I already stopped seven wars,” he quipped.
The President suggested that peace in Ukraine is within reach due to his personal rapport with Vladimir Putin. “I’m disappointed in him, but I do have a good relationship. I thought that would be the easiest one, but we’ll get it done one way or another,” he remarked.
“Respected Like Never Before”
Trump used the platform to argue that the U.S. has regained stature under his return to office. “On the world stage, we are once again doing things that we are just respected at a level that we have never been respected before,” he said.
Reiterating his claim of forging peace deals, Trump singled out India and Pakistan again: “Think of that. And you know how I stopped that — with trade. They want to trade. And I have great respect for both leaders. But when you take a look at all of these wars that we’ve stopped…”
The Bigger Picture
Trump’s repeated calls for Nobel recognition echo his presidency’s earlier years, when he touted peace initiatives such as the Abraham Accords in the Middle East. While his supporters credit him with tough diplomacy, critics argue his claims exaggerate U.S. influence in some of these conflicts.
Still, the President’s bold declaration — that he deserves seven Nobel Peace Prizes — sets the tone for his foreign policy narrative as he continues to spotlight global peace as a pillar of his leadership.
