New Delhi: As the U.S. clamps down on H-1B visas, Germany is stepping in to woo India’s top talent. From IT whizzes to tech innovators, skilled professionals now have a lucrative, stable alternative in Europe’s economic powerhouse.
German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Philipp Ackermann, highlighted the rising success of Indians in Germany in a recent video message on X (formerly Twitter). “Indians are among the top earners in Germany,” he said, adding, “The average Indian professional earns more than the average German—a remarkable achievement.”
Here is my call to all highly skilled Indians.
Germany stands out with its stable migration policies, and with great job opportunities for Indians in IT, management, science and tech.

Ackermann emphasized that high salaries reflect the significant contributions Indian professionals make to Germany’s economy and social welfare.
Describing Germany’s migration system, the ambassador compared it to the country’s famed engineering: “It’s reliable, modern, predictable. Professionals can plan long-term without fearing sudden changes.” Unlike other countries, Germany maintains stable migration rules, allowing skilled workers to build enduring careers.
With Germany facing workforce gaps in high-demand sectors, Ackermann extended an invitation to Indian talent: “Highly skilled Indians are welcome. Explore what Germany has to offer—you might be surprised.”
