India Sets 3 Guinness World Records Under Nationwide Women’s Health Campaign

11 Crore Women Join Health Drive that Puts India in Guinness Book

New Delhi: India has scripted a new chapter in women’s healthcare by clinching three Guinness World Records under the nationwide “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan,” Union Health Minister JP Nadda announced on Friday.

The mega campaign, held from September 17 to October 2, 2025, coinciding with Poshan Maah, was aimed at strengthening preventive and women-centric healthcare across the country.

“A record-breaking milestone for women’s health! India achieves three Guinness World Records under the nationwide #SwasthNariSashaktParivarAbhiyaan, reaffirming our commitment to preventive and women-centric healthcare,” Nadda posted on X.

According to the Health Ministry, the drive focused on nutrition, early health screening, and awareness among women, adolescent girls, and children. It also promoted holistic family well-being and preventive care.

Over 19.7 lakh health camps were organised across India during the campaign, drawing participation from over 11 crore people across all districts — a mobilisation that earned global recognition.

The Guinness World Records acknowledged India’s achievement as the largest women’s health awareness and screening campaign ever held worldwide.

“This record-breaking accomplishment is a proud stride towards a Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar, and Viksit Bharat. Women’s empowerment is the foundation of a healthier, stronger India,” Nadda added.

The ministry described the initiative as a landmark in community-driven healthcare, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive and accessible medical outreach.

By merging awareness, screening, and nutrition programmes, the campaign underscored the idea that a Healthy Woman (Swasth Nari) is the key to an Empowered Family (Sashakt Parivar) — and ultimately, a Developed India (Viksit Bharat).
