Ranchi: Morabadi Ground turned into a pulsing celebration of opportunity as Chief Minister Hemant Soren marked one year of his government’s second term by distributing 8,792 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates. The mass turnout signalled a clear message: employment and youth empowerment remain the government’s central priorities.
A Night of Hope and Renewal
With lights, music, and an air of optimism, the state-level anniversary function felt more like a festival of futures being unlocked. For thousands of young people receiving appointment letters, the evening represented stability, progress, and direction.
Encouraging the crowd, Soren urged young citizens to uplift each other, saying:
“Wherever you live, pledge to create at least one skilled or successful young person like yourself.”
He described this as the foundation of a stronger, self-sustaining Jharkhand.

24,000 Jobs Provided — Nearly 50,000 Lives Impacted
Soren highlighted that in the last year alone, the administration has delivered over 16,000 government jobs and 8,000 private-sector opportunities, fulfilling a key election promise. He added that today’s appointments would indirectly boost the morale and well-being of nearly 50,000 people, when families and communities are considered.
Tribute to Shibu Soren and Jyotiba Phule
The Chief Minister reflected emotionally on the absence of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, expressing that the late leader would have been pleased to witness so many young Jharkhandis stepping into government roles. He also paid homage to social reformer Jyotiba Phule, whose death anniversary fell on the same day.
Jharkhand’s Largest Appointment Drive Ever
Calling the occasion “historic,” Soren noted that this is the largest single-day distribution of appointment letters in the state’s history. He emphasized that the recruitment process has been transparent, fair, and integrity-driven — even in the face of pushback.
“Our aim is to establish a new dimension in this state,” he said, tying job allotment to broader reform efforts.
Inclusive Growth and Sensitivity in Governance
Soren reiterated that development in Jharkhand must benefit all: tribals, Dalits, OBC communities, women, youth, persons with disabilities, and both formally and informally educated citizens.
Women Leading the Change: Maiya Samman Yojana
A key highlight was the rising success of the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana.
“Women are becoming self-reliant through this scheme,” Soren declared, sharing the story of a woman who used financial support from the scheme to complete her studies — and received her appointment letter that very day.
Notably, women now constitute 40% of assistant professors and 30% of JPSC Civil Service recruits, marking a significant leap toward gender representation.
“State-Building is a Collective Responsibility”
Soren stressed collaboration among officials, farmers, teachers, workers, and youth as the cornerstone of state development.
“Everyone has a role in shaping Jharkhand,” he reminded.
A Future Defined by Unity, Skills, and Trust
As the ceremony concluded, the atmosphere was one of pride, trust, and momentum.
“Only through cooperation and meaningful effort will Jharkhand become strong,” Soren affirmed.
With thousands stepping directly into public service roles, Jharkhand’s leadership closed the night by reinforcing a promise:
The state’s future is young, ambitious, and moving forward — together.
