Guwahati: Seemanta Chetana Mancha Purvottar, a registered socio-cultural and non-political organisation founded in Assam on Ram Navami in 2008, launched its much-awaited monthly journal Frontier Insights along with its e-newsletter at a special ceremony held on 10 December 2025 at the NEDFi House auditorium.

The event also saw the release of a book in Assamese on Pancha Parivartan by Dr. Sunil Mohanti, Asom Kshetra Prachar Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The launch ceremony was attended by senior dignitaries including Dhruba Mahanta, Press Secretary to the Chief Minister of Assam; PVSLN Murty, Chairman of NEDFi; and Sanjay Aditya Singh, Chairman of the editorial board of Frontier Insights.

Although Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika could not attend due to prior commitments, he conveyed his message, stressing that safeguarding India’s frontiers is crucial for national stability and prosperity. As the minister in charge of State IPR, he underlined the strong link between civic awareness and national integrity and praised the Mancha for its effort. He expressed hope that the newsletter would play a significant role in “connecting remote villages with the national consciousness.”

In his address, Dr. Mohanti highlighted the ideological foundations of community service and nation-building. He said both the book and the newsletter are aligned with the mission of cultural and national awakening. Explaining the idea behind Pancha Parivartan—five key transformations focusing on social cohesion, family enlightenment, environmental protection, civic responsibility and more—he said the initiatives reflect the journey “from Byakti Nirman to Rashtra Nirman” (individual development to nation-building). Bharat’s strength, he noted, rests in cultural clarity and collective responsibility.

Mahanta stressed the importance of disseminating accurate information in the digital age. He hoped the new publications would serve as a credible platform to highlight stories of resilience and development from border regions—an exercise he termed essential for national integration and for countering anti-national narratives.

Murty underlined that border security is closely linked to economic development, stating that “a secure border is one that possesses economic strength.”

Earlier, Singh observed that border security is not the sole responsibility of governments or armed forces but a shared national duty that begins with informed citizens. He said Frontier Insights aims to share ground realities, resilience stories and strategic perspectives to strengthen awareness on Bharat’s border security framework. The initiative, he added, seeks to highlight the role of citizens in safeguarding national security and advancing holistic development in frontier regions.
