Bokaro/Unnao: A poetry festival and award ceremony was jointly organised by Rashmipunj Sahityanuragi Sansthan and Abhivyakti Sahitya Sanstha, Delhi on December 24 at Raghav Resort in Unnao, commemorating Acharya Pandit Gaya Prasad Shukla Sanehi, a pioneer of the Kavi Sammelan tradition, and noted literature lover Harbinder Singh Labana.
The event was inaugurated by Pankaj Gupta, who lit the ceremonial lamp and paid floral tributes. Poets from several states enthralled the audience with spirited recitations, turning the evening into a vibrant celebration of Hindi literature.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Govind Gajab, who encouraged emerging poets, while Bokaro-based poet Karuna Kalika, the organisation’s general secretary, extended best wishes for their creative journey. Chief advisor Snehi Shailendra Mohan Shukla and other office-bearers welcomed participants and guests.
Several new office-bearers were also appointed during the event. The organisers credited the success of the programme to the efforts of newly appointed district representatives, including Prashant Dwivedi Mridul, Rahul Kashyap and Gyanendra Prakash.
The well-attended gathering reaffirmed the enduring appeal of Kavi Sammelan and highlighted poetry’s role in preserving cultural and literary traditions.
