Bokaro: The Bokaro district unit of Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani Group organized a vibrant Picnic-cum-Sakhi Milan event on Saturday afternoon at Bokaro Club, bringing together women members for an evening filled with fun, culture and camaraderie.
The event featured lively games, an entertaining antakshari competition, and colorful cultural performances, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity among the participants.
District in-charge Amita Jha, General Secretary Usha Jha, Deputy General Secretary Nutan Jha, Cultural Coordinators Jayanti Pathak and Preeti Roy, Treasurers Sujata Jha and Sangeeta Mishra, Media Coordinators Rekha Jha and Sanjeeta Bhuvanesh, along with several other members, actively participated in the celebration.
In the game competition, Usha Jha emerged as the winner, while the special antakshari (singing with dance) contest was jointly won by Namita Jha and Nutan Jha. The games were conducted by Sangeeta Mishra, and the antakshari segment was hosted by Sanjeeta Bhuvanesh and Rekha Jha.
On the occasion, Deputy General Secretary Nutan Jha was felicitated for her outstanding contribution to the organization.
Members also held a discussion on the upcoming International Women’s Day celebrations on March 8, 2026, where Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani International Group will organize a grand Cultural Folk Festival at Langkawi Resort, Ranchi. The Bokaro unit appealed to its members to participate in large numbers.
The event concluded with renewed energy, friendship, and a shared commitment to promoting Maithili culture and women’s unity.
