Tehran: Iran has postponed the funeral ceremony of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei after powerful explosions were reported in the capital and tensions with Israel and the United States intensified, raising serious security concerns.
The state funeral, which was expected to draw massive crowds from across the country, had been scheduled to take place in Tehran with a large public procession and mourning ceremonies. However, Iranian authorities decided to delay the event after the security situation deteriorated following fresh blasts and continued military exchanges linked to the widening regional conflict.
