‘14 Cyanide Bombs’ Threat Email Triggers Security Alert at Bokaro Civil Court

Bokaro: A threatening email claiming that bombs (‘14 Cyanide Bombs’ ) had been planted triggered a security alert at the Bokaro Civil Court on Monday morning, prompting immediate action by police and security agencies.

According to officials, the email was received around 10:06 AM on the court’s official email account. The message carried the subject line “Justice for Nanguneri” and warned that multiple bombs allegedly filled with toxic cyanide gas had been placed in the court premises. It urged people to leave the area immediately and cover their nose and mouth.

The email also contained several politically charged remarks and allegations. It mentioned Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, referred to terrorist Ajmal Kasab, and also named Udayanidhi, while making various claims related to the Nanguneri issue.

The sender further alleged that some of the explosives were transported by train and could have been placed on rooftops, suggesting that authorities should carefully inspect buildings.

The message was signed by a person identifying himself as “Sourav” from a group called TNRT (TN Retrieval Troops), though the authenticity of this organization has not yet been verified.

Following the threat, police and security teams were alerted and precautionary checks were carried out around the court premises. Cyber experts have also begun tracing the origin of the email.

Harvinder Singh, Bokaro Superintendent of Police (SP) appealed to the public to remain calm, saying there is no need to panic. He said police are actively investigating the matter and taking all necessary security measures.

So far, officials have not found any suspicious objects, but authorities said the threat is being treated seriously while investigations continue.
