
Bokaro: Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has delivered a standout performance at the Odisha State Productivity Council (OSPC) Competition-2026, clinching five prestigious awards and reinforcing its reputation for industrial excellence.
Celebrating the achievement, members of the winning teams met Director-in-Charge Priya Ranjan on Tuesday, sharing insights from the competition. Senior officials, including Executive Director (Works) Anup Kumar Datta and other top executives, were present during the interaction.
Held under the theme “Clusters as Growth Engines: Maximizing Productivity,” the competition saw BSL teams excel across categories. The CRM-III and Blast Furnace teams secured the top 5-Star rating, while teams from the Hot Strip Mill and EMD earned 4-Star honors. Another Hot Strip Mill team achieved a 3-Star rating, completing a strong overall showing.
Applauding the teams, Director-in-Charge Priya Ranjan credited their innovation and dedication, stating that such recognitions reflect BSL’s technical strength on competitive platforms. ED (Works) Anup Kumar Datta also lauded the teams, urging them to sustain the momentum.
Coordinated by the Industrial Engineering Department, the achievement underscores BSL’s ongoing push for productivity, quality, and global-standard industrial practices—setting a benchmark for excellence within the steel sector.
