‘Chinmaya Smiles Back’ Awards Scholarships Worth ₹8.76 Lakh to 50 Needy Students in Bokaro

Bokaro: Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro alumni initiative “Chinmaya Smiles Back” distributed scholarships worth ₹8.76 lakh among 50 economically needy students under its ‘Pratibha Poshan’ and ‘Vidyavritti’ schemes during a ceremony held at the school’s seminar hall on Saturday.

Ajay Nath Jha attended the programme as the chief guest and handed over scholarship cheques and certificates to the selected students. The scholarship amount was later transferred directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

The event was attended by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, school president Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Principal Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Narmendra Kumar and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma, among others.

Principal Suraj Sharma said the ‘Pratibha Poshan’ and ‘Vidyavritti’ schemes act as a strong source of motivation for deserving students while also contributing significantly to social welfare. Of the total scholarship amount distributed, ₹2.81 lakh was awarded under the ‘Pratibha Poshan’ scheme and ₹5.95 lakh under the ‘Vidyavritti’ scheme.

Addressing the students, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha congratulated the beneficiaries and said scholarships play a vital role in helping students realise their dreams. Praising the efforts of “Chinmaya Smiles Back,” he remarked that sincere work done for social welfare is truly commendable.

“Working hard on your present will make your future even brighter,” he told the students while encouraging them to remain focused on their goals.

Representatives from several schools and members of the “Chinmaya Smiles Back” initiative were also present during the programme.
