Bokaro: Three young archery talents from the Vedanta ESL Archery Academy have earned recognition from the Government of Jharkhand, securing sports scholarships for their impressive performances at national-level competitions.
Kuldeep Mahato has been awarded a scholarship of ₹70,000, while Doli Kumari and Kritika Kumari have received ₹60,000 each. The scholarships recognise their sustained performance, discipline and dedication to the sport.
The government support is expected to give the three archers an added boost as they pursue intensive training and compete at higher levels. Their achievement also underscores the role of the Vedanta ESL Archery Academy in identifying and nurturing emerging sporting talent, particularly among youngsters from rural communities.
Expressing pride in the athletes’ achievement, Ravish Sharma, CEO & Whole-Time Director, ESL Steel Limited, said their success reflects “dedication, discipline and the right guidance.” He added that ESL remains committed to creating opportunities for young talent in the region and helping aspiring athletes pursue their sporting ambitions.
The recognition further strengthens ESL’s efforts to promote grassroots sports and provide young athletes with platforms to hone their skills, compete at the highest levels and aspire to represent Jharkhand and India on bigger sporting stages.
