BIT Mesra–RIMS Develop XAI Tool for Faster, Clearer Diagnosis of Brain Injury in Infants

Researchers at BIT Mesra and RIMS Ranchi have developed an ICMR-funded XAI-enabled system to detect Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) in newborns using ultrasound images. The ₹40.58-lakh project integrates deep learning and computer vision to support faster, more accurate neonatal diagnosis.
