Bokaro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi online inaugurated two Health and Wellness Centre at Radhanagar and Barmasia in Bokaro district soon after launching the Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Yojna (Ayushman Bharat Yojana) on Sunday.
With launching of the scheme about 13.50 lakhs people from three lakhs families across the district become entitled to get the benefits under the scheme, includes about 86 percent of the rural and about 60 percent of the urban population of the district will be benefited under this scheme, informed S Murmu Civil Surgeon Bokaro.
“Presently, 12 government hospitals and five private hospitals were inducted under the scheme amid we have got 26 applications for the private hospitals or nursing homes for registration under Ayusman Bharat,” added Murmu.
The process of registration is still ‘on’, we have identified 94 more private hospitals, he said.
There are 170 government hospitals and 150 private hospitals running across the district. But for the registration under this scheme, it is essential that the hospital must be at least of 10-bed capacity.
“Besides this, ICU, NICU, OT, Labour Room, availability of Oxygen gas cylinder, 24 hours availability of doctors, nursing and paramedical staffs and 24 hours on call facilities are the essential criteria for registration,” added Murmu.
Each eligible beneficiary can avail the benefits of free hospital care services under the scheme at all public hospitals as well as empanelled private hospitals. The paperless and cashless access to health services will be provided to them, he said adding, “Information about all empanelled hospitals will be available shortly government website while people can also call on toll-free no 14555 which is available for any sort of information as well as clarifications.”
All total sixty-seven beneficiaries got the Gold Card soon after the inauguration of the Wellness Centres by MK Barnawal Deputy Commissioner Bokaro and others. Expressing their gratitude Laxam Rajak, TN Lohar, Chapla Devi, Rakho Hari, A Dome, Vishwanath Mahato (who got the Gold Card) said, we never thought that we will get the free health benefits. “Thanks to our Prime Minister for taking care of us,” they added.
