Bokaro: Over 40 persons who tested positive for Coronavirus had gone traceless in Bokaro district, police and health department officials are still on the hunt to catch them.
The officials in the health department were left high-and-dry when they unable to trace around 40 COVID-19 positive patients; their investigation reports rushed to health officials on Monday and Tuesday, informed AK Pathak.
After receiving the investigation reports, we had initiated tracing (over their phone and addresses) to shift them to the COVID-19 isolation facility. As per the protocol, the Health Department officials have to convey the patient the test results telephonically immediately after the test reports from the lab reaches to them, said Pathak.
“While trying to contact them, we found their mobile numbers were either not active or switched-off; even their addresses are also fake” added Pathak.
We do not know why, but at the time of sample collections, they were mentioned their wrong address and mobile numbers, said Civil Surgeon.
The health department officials, staffs, are still at work to find out those peoples.
“We have already handed over a list of those patients to the Superintendent of Police Bokaro and cops are on the hunt,” added Pathak.
Those people are still openly moving on the city roads and spreading the virus infection. Perhaps they also not know that they are COVID-19 positive, said an official.
