DPS Bokaro boy shines in International Math Olympiad Challenge.

RNS I Bokaro: Abhineet Sharan, a Class IX student of DPS Bokaro, has bagged gold and bronze medals in the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC), held on 24th July 2021, results of which were declared this month.

SIMOC consisted of three segments of examination: Math Olympiad Contest (individual) and– Math Master Mind Competition and Mind Sports Challenge (team-based).

Abhineet bagged a bronze medal in the first round of the Math Olympiad Contest, whereas in the second round- Math Master Mind Competition and the third round, Mind Sports Challenge, his team bagged gold.

Securing a bronze medal in an individual event in the first level of Singapore and Asian School’s Math Olympiad (SASMO) in the month of January earlier this year, Abhineet made his way to represent India along with 34 other students in the second level i.e. SIMOC. It is noteworthy that Abhineet is the only student from Jharkhand to have qualified this prestigious exam.

Congratulating Abhineet, Principal, DPS Bokaro A. S. Gangwar said, “It gives me immense pleasure to see our students shine not only at the national canvas but also at the global platform. It is with his grit, assiduous efforts and the support of parents that he has proudly etched his name in the International Leader board.” He wished Abhineet the best for the future.
