Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group Company has won the coveted ‘Greentech Effective Safety Culture Award-2021’ in the Metals and Mining Industry category for the second consecutive year for continuous improvements in building a safety culture at the shop floors.
The acknowledgment comes after ESL’s effective use of technology, digitalization, and innovations, coupled with the leadership of its senior management that effectively mitigates critical risks at the site, informed an ESL’s PR Official.
Currently, in its 20th year, the award distribution were held in Sonmarg, J&K and graced by imminent people including Former Chief Minister, J&K, Mr. Farooq Abdulla, along with the CEOs, Managing Directors and representatives from the top Indian Public & Private Sector companies from various sectors such as Construction, Pharmaceutical, Metal & Mining, Power & Energy, Banking and others.
Established in the year 1999, Greentech Foundation is India’s leading non-profit organization committed to recognizing and celebrating the best practices in the areas of safety, environmental management, CSR, and HR, among the vibrant corporate world, said the official.

The evaluation for the award was based on data and document review followed by a presentation to the jury members comprising distinguished industry professionals and prominent retired government officials.
