Bokaro : Students and staff members at DPS Bokaro organised a cleanliness drive in and around the school in an effort to carry forward the mission of clean surroundings toward making a Swachh Bharat, as was envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. They did this in an effort to carry forward the mission of clean surroundings towards making a Swachh Bharat.
The campus buzzed with activities as the students right from Classes Nursery to XII enthusiastically participated in the cleaning campaign. Donning the cap of a responsible citizen, the students took ownership of cleaning their desks, benches, classroom, corridors and the school premises.
A.S.Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro interacted with the students to create awareness regarding cleanliness and its benefits.He actively participated in the cleanliness drive with the students.This steered the drive towards success wherein students understood that a clean surrounding can be built only through the efforts put in by each and every member of the society.
Gangwar said that cleanliness is also a part of education and it is very important to help students cultivate a taste for clean and organized surroundings that will promote discipline in life.
