National Children Science Congress concludes at DPS Bokaro

# 10 projects from Bokaro shortlisted for Nationals

RNS: The three-day State Level of the 30th National Children Science Congress concluded at DPS Bokaro. Kuldeep Choudhary, DC Bokaro was the Chief Guest of the valedictory ceremony. The ceremony commenced with the sapling presentation, followed by the welcome address. Students presented the welcome song followed by a beautifully choreographed dance presentation emphasizing the rights of the children. The upcoming scientists shared their views of the congress and after a round of judges’ feedback, results were declared.

Satakshi and Payal Mahata (Bokaro), Malin Sinku (West Singhbhum), Juhi Priya Murmu (Dumka) were shortlisted in the NCSC Rural Junior Group while Doli Kumari and Taranum Gulnaz (Bokaro), Suri Rani (Ranchi), Omkar Verma (Dhanbad), Arpita Saha (Jamtara) were shortlisted in the NCSC Senior Rural Group.  In NCSC Urban Junior Group Ridhi Sharma and Saksham Jha (Bokaro), Saurav Lohra (West Singhbhum) and Abhigyan (Deoghar) were shortlisted. Abhineet Sharan, Arpan Kumar, Mukund Kumar and Rajan Bharti (Bokaro) along with Roushan Raj (Giridih) was shortlisted in the NCSC Urban Senior Category. The shortlisted students will participate in the upcoming National Level Science Congress Workshop where they will be prepared for the National Level and the final list of selected candidates will be announced.

Animesh Kumar Jha, CGM, Traffic, Bokaro Steel Plant was the Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony held in the morning. Addressing the gathering he said, “DPS Bokaro has always been synonymous with excellence and this event has reasserted it.” He added that Science is a gift for humanity. It is an amalgamation of synchronized thinking and execution. Such events help to develop the hands-on learning skills and the implementation of radical ideas. The science exhibition which displayed more than 90 projects of the students from across 13 districts of Jharkhand was inaugurated by the Chief Guest.

Lauding the efforts of the school, DC Bokaro said, “Such opportunities help children to explore the creative talents and push them to think out of the box. He extended his appreciation to A. S. Gangwar for organising NCSC 2022 and said that he is looking forward to see the school host many more such events that will help students imbibe social responsibility.

Dr. Ali Imam Khan, President, Science for Society, Jharkhand said that there is a beautiful connection between science and development. Scientific thought process is an important ingredient for bringing in the necessary change in society.

 Addressing the gathering Anjani Bhushan, Vice Principal DPS Bokaro said, “Children are the future and such events play a very crucial role in developing the scientific temperament of the children. He appreciated the efforts put in by Science for Society in collaboration with Vigyaan Jagaran Samiti to nourish the child prodigies.
