Modi meets CEOs of Google, Amazon & Boeing in Washington DC

RNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets with Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, Andrew Jassy, the CEO of Amazon, and David Calhoun, the CEO of Boeing, in Washington DC.

Following his meeting with Modi, Sundar Pichai said he informed the Prime Minister about Google’s 10 billion-dollar investment in India’s digitization fund. Pichai also made an announcement regarding the establishment of Google’s global fintech operation center in GIFT City, Gujarat.

Pichai praised Prime Minister Modi’s visionary approach to Digital India, stating that it surpassed its time and is now regarded as a blueprint for other countries. Andrew Jassy, the CEO of Amazon, highlighted his company’s significant investments in India, which currently amount to 11 billion dollars.

He further expressed the intention to invest an additional 15 billion dollars, bringing the total investment to 26 billion dollars.

David Calhoun, the CEO of Boeing, emphasized the Prime Minister’s strong commitment to India’s development. Calhoun noted that Modi possesses a particular interest in aviation and aerospace, showcasing a grand vision for the sector.

He stated that it is remarkable when technological advancements and opportunities align with the leader’s vision for the nation.
