Two DAV-6 students shine in National Children’s Science Congress

Bokaro: The National Children’s Science Congress 2023 witnessed the selection of five remarkable child scientists from the Bokaro district. Among them, Abhinetra and Gayan, both students of class 9 at DAV Public School Sector 6, have earned the prestigious opportunity to represent their district at the national level.

The final round selection for the National Children’s Science Congress, held on January 13, 2024, took place at D.A.V. Public School in Pundag, Ranchi. This event drew participation from 34 child scientists hailing from various districts of Jharkhand, with 16 securing a national spot.

One of the noteworthy projects presented at the event involved the creation of paper from sugarcane bagasse, a project in which Abhinetra, Gayan, and Soumya Bhardwaj made significant contributions. Their innovative project garnered appreciation from all those in attendance.

The paper produced from unused sugarcane bagasse holds great promise for environmental protection and cleanliness, as it offers a pollution-free and cost-effective alternative.

Brij Mohan Lal Das, Principal of the school, provided invaluable guidance and leadership, steering the institution towards greater heights. Social science teachers Swaroop Kumar Nath and Manisha Ashwini Sahay played a pivotal role in supporting these two students on their journey to national recognition.

Principal Das emphasized the significance of their eco-friendly and cost-effective paper project in the current context.

He congratulated the students on their well-deserved selection at the national level and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.
