Bokaro: DPS Bokaro, in association with Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, successfully organized the Inter-School Basketball Tournament 2025 on Friday. The event was graced by Chief Guest Rajeev Kumar, an Indian Air Force officer and international basketball player, along with other dignitaries such as Soumen Chakraborty, Principal of GGPS Sector-V, and Biswajit Patra, Principal of ARS Public School.
The tournament featured 17 teams in the U-19 Boys and Girls categories. In the girls’ category, Shri Ayyappa Public School (SAPS) clinched the championship, with DPS Bokaro and GGPS-5 sharing second place, while MGM Higher Secondary School took third. In the boys’ category, MGM Higher Secondary School emerged as the winner, with DPS Bokaro and SAPS sharing second place, and GGPS-5 securing third.
Nikhil Raj of MGM Higher Secondary School and Sejal Singh of SAPS were named the Best Players in their respective categories.
The event kicked off with an opening ceremony that included a welcome song, a March Past, and vibrant performances by DPS Bokaro students. The tournament concluded with speeches from the Chief Guest and Dr. A.S. Gangwar, Principal of DPS Bokaro.
The success of the event was credited to the efforts of the technical officials and the enthusiastic participation of students from various schools.
