PM Modi to Attend 6th BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Thailand for the 6th BIMSTEC Summit, scheduled to take place on April 4 in Bangkok.

The Summit, which will bring together the heads of state and government from member countries, focuses on the theme “Prosperous, Resilient, and Open BIMSTEC.”

Modi will arrive in Thailand on April 3 for the two-day event. The primary goal of the Summit is to enhance collaboration among member states to tackle common security and developmental challenges. The discussions will also provide a fresh impetus for realizing the vision of a prosperous, resilient, and open BIMSTEC.

The event will underscore BIMSTEC’s vital role in fostering regional cooperation, helping member nations address shared security concerns and sustainable development issues.

The BIMSTEC organization consists of seven nations surrounding the Bay of Bengal: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
