Indian Men’s Volleyball Team Holds Open Selection Trials for 2025 International Events

RNS: The Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) Ad-hoc Committee has announced open selection trials for the Indian Senior Men’s Volleyball Team ahead of the 2025 Central Asian Volleyball Association Championship, scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan. In the absence of a National Sports Federation (NSF) for Volleyball, the trials aim to select players for the national team.

The trials for the Senior Men’s category will be held on May 6 and 7, 2025, at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre in Bengaluru. Shortlisted players will be invited to join the National Coaching Camp following the trials.

Additionally, the VFI will conduct separate trials for the Men’s U-16 and U-19 categories on May 10 and 11, 2025, at the same venue, ahead of future international competitions.

Aspiring players are required to register online by May 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The registration form is available through a provided Google Form link and on the Indian Olympic Association’s website. A non-refundable entry fee of Rs 1,250 must be paid online as part of the registration process.

The VFI Ad-Hoc Committee has clarified that no nominations from defunct State Volleyball Associations are needed for the trials. Players must bring their original passport and playing equipment when attending.

For more details or issues with registration, players can contact the VFI Ad-Hoc Committee at adhoc.committee.vfi@gmail.com.
