‘Gyan Post’: New Postal Service by India Post to Promote Education Access

New Delhi: In a major push to make education more accessible, the Department of Posts has launched ‘Gyan Post’, a special postal service aimed at delivering educational, cultural, social, and religious books at affordable rates across India—including remote and rural regions.

Aligned with the objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP), Gyan Post seeks to bridge the educational gap by offering low-cost delivery of printed material. The service is now available at all post offices nationwide, with rates starting at just ₹20 for parcels up to 300 grams and going up to ₹100 for packages up to 5 kg (taxes extra).

To ensure transparency and reliability, a tracking facility has also been integrated. India Post officials encouraged citizens to avail this service to promote learning and literacy.

For more information, customers can contact their nearest post office or visit the official website: www.indiapost.gov.in.
