Gurugram: The Central Library of The NorthCap University (NCU) successfully hosted the National Online Library Technology Conclave 2025, drawing participation from over 100 library professionals, researchers, and students across India.
Organized under the guidance of Librarian and event convener Dr. Anil Jharotia, the conclave focused on emerging technologies in academic libraries. Chairperson of the Library Committee, Dr. Vandana Khanna, played a key role in encouraging such forward-looking events at the NCU library.
The conclave featured notable speakers, including Mrs. Manju Kant, who delivered an insightful session on “Embracing Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT in Academic Libraries,” followed by an interactive Q&A session.
Another highlight was Dr. Deepak Shrivastava’s presentation titled “From Braille to AI: The Evolving Landscape of Assistive Technology for the Visually Impaired,” which sparked deep interest and questions from participants on inclusive library innovations.
Gulshan Sachdeva, General Secretary of the Library Professionals Foundation, confirmed the enthusiastic national participation.
The event was powered by the Library Professionals Foundation and received strong institutional support from Vice Chancellor Prof. Nupur Prakash and Registrar CMDE Diwakar Tomar NM (Retd.).
The conclave marked a significant step in promoting cutting-edge library practices and fostering inclusive knowledge ecosystems.
