Bokaro: The Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, Bokaro, organized a vibrant seminar-cum-Kavya Goshti at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Sector 2A, where poets and litterateurs from across the state captivated the audience with powerful verses rooted in culture, nationalism, and social consciousness.

The event began with lighting of the lamp and felicitation of guests, followed by thought-provoking addresses. Chief Guest Jagannath Shahi emphasized that national interest must be the supreme ideal, and highlighted the Sangh’s initiative—Panch Parivartan, aimed at awakening self-awareness leading to national consciousness. “Nations fall when self-awareness fades, but India endures because of its spiritual depth,” he said.

Pawan Putra Badal, National Joint General Secretary of the Parishad, underlined the role of literature as a guiding force in shaping society, citing the Rigveda as the world’s oldest and most reformative text.

District Council President Dr. Narendra Kumar Rai reflected on history, saying, “When politics fails, literature becomes its moral compass”, referencing Chand Bardai’s legendary poetry that led to the downfall of Prithviraj Chauhan’s enemy.

In the second session, Baijnath Singh of Gayatri Parivar stated that literature written with national commitment has the power to elevate the nation to its highest glory.

Several regional language poets and scholars including Shiromani Ram Mahto, Dr. Mukund Ravidas, Aman Kumar Jha, Dr. Satyadev Tiwari, and others were honoured for their contributions. A poetic evening followed, where a rich mix of poets, writers, and cultural voices—including Geeta Kumari, Kanaklata Rai, Amrita Sharma, Arun Pathak, and many more—recited their compositions, earning applause and recognition.

The event concluded with a presidential address by State President Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh and a vote of thanks by Kasturi Sinha, celebrating literature as a timeless force that shapes minds and nations alike.
