
Ranchi: The Jharkhand Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, approved 30 proposals covering infrastructure, education, women’s empowerment and governance. Key decisions include:
Infrastructure & Development
- ROB in Palamu: Approval for a Road Over Bridge near Bajrha village between Daltonganj–Rajhara railway section at a cost of ₹101.38 crore; state share ₹19.53 crore.
- MDR-077 Road Upgrade: Jaina Morh (Tilka Manjhi Chowk) to Phusro (Nirmal Mahto Chowk) road to be widened and strengthened over 15.9 km at ₹157.89 crore.
- Saidapur Weir Project, Godda: Revised estimate of ₹38.73 crore approved.
- Choparan–Chatra Road (MDR-68): Riding quality improvement over 49.2 km at ₹35.43 crore.
- Bokaro Road Project: Widening and reconstruction of Nawadih–Ghutwe Hirak Road (22.76 km) approved at ₹81.36 crore, shifted to the Road Construction Department.
Education & Institutions
- Universities Restructuring: Approval to restructure academic and non-academic posts at Jamshedpur Women’s University and Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University, Ranchi.
- Tribal University: Creation of posts approved for Pandit Raghunath Murmu Tribal University, Jamshedpur.
Governance & Social Initiatives
- Nari Adalat Scheme: Cleared under the centrally sponsored Mission Shakti to resolve minor disputes at the panchayat level.
- Law Commission: Tenure of the Jharkhand State Law Commission extended by two years (Nov 14, 2025–Nov 13, 2027).
- Service Regularisation: Regularisation of three employees in the Settlement Office, Hazaribagh.
