ONGC Holds Free Eye Care Camp at Amlabad Under CSR Initiative

Bokaro: ONGC CBM Asset, Bokaro, organized a free eye check-up and cataract surgery camp at the Amlabad Panchayat Secretariat on Wednesday under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The initiative, conducted in collaboration with Anugrah Drishtidan, Delhi, and Agarwal Laser and Implant Centre, Bokaro, benefited hundreds of villagers through free health screenings and treatment.

The camp provided eye examinations, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, medicines and spectacles. Patients diagnosed with cataracts were referred for free surgeries. The programme aimed to improve access to quality eye care and promote health awareness among economically weaker rural communities.

ONGC will organize similar camps at the Community Hall, Paduwa Bhava Mela, on July 18, and at the Shaheed Shaktinath Mahto Memorial, Kultand, on July 19.

Police Officials Inspect CSR Initiatives

Amlabad Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kaushalendra Kumar and Chandankiyari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Amit Rai visited the camp, interacted with beneficiaries and appreciated ONGC’s CSR efforts. They later inspected various development projects executed by ONGC in Amlabad.

During the visit, Kaushalendra Kumar lauded ONGC’s contribution in the fields of education, healthcare and environmental conservation. He particularly appreciated the construction of toilets in government schools, stating that the initiative would improve student attendance and help reduce dropout rates among girl students.

Senior ONGC officials, including Dayanand Kalundia (Head-HR), Anita Yadav (Asset Support Manager), Dolly Kumari (CSR In-charge), Vikas Chandra Singh (Head-Well Services), Ajay Kumar Das, Abhinav Kumar, Anokhelal, Ashish Yadav, and Dr. Shashank Shekhar, were present. Amlabad Mukhiya Ajay Rajwar and social worker Prithvi Singh also attended the programme.
