New Delhi: In a bid to bring uniformity and innovation to timekeeping at stations nationwide, Indian Railways has launched a countrywide digital clock design competition, inviting entries from professionals, college students, and school students alike.
Announcing the initiative, Executive Director of Information and Publicity, Railway Board, Dilip Kumar, said the winning design, which will be adopted for installation at all railway stations across India, will receive a grand prize of Rs 5 lakh.
The contest aims to standardize the look and feel of digital clocks at Indian railway stations, blending functionality with modern design aesthetics. In addition to the top award, the Railways will also give out five consolation prizes of Rs 50,000 each in every participant category.
Submissions for the competition are being accepted online until the end of this month, and participants are encouraged to showcase innovative, user-friendly, and visually appealing designs that align with the Indian Railways’ modernization drive.
