President Murmu Confers 92 Distinguished Service Awards to Armed Forces Personnel

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu today honoured 92 personnel from the Indian Armed Forces, Coast Guard, and Border Roads Organisation with prestigious service awards at the Defence Investiture Ceremony 2025 (Phase-II) held at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

The awards included 30 Param Vishisht Seva Medals, 5 Uttam Yudh Seva Medals, and 57 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals. These decorations were presented to recognise exceptional service, dedication, and bravery in various capacities within the nation’s defence forces.

Senior officers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and BRO were among the awardees. Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, Vice Admiral Sanjay Jasjit Singh, and Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor were conferred with the Param Vishisht Seva Medal. The Uttam Yudh Seva Medal was awarded to Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai and Air Marshal Pankaj Mohan Sinha, among others.

The Ati Vishisht Seva Medal was presented to several distinguished officers, including Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, Director General Paramesh Sivamani, Rear Admiral Sandeep Mehta, Air Vice Marshal Ajay Kumar Pan, and George P. Cherian from the Border Roads Organisation.

The ceremony highlighted the nation’s deep appreciation for the bravery, leadership, and tireless commitment of its defence personnel.
