Bokaro: BJP State Working Committee member Kumar Amit met Bokaro Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh on Monday, demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the recent robbery at Aastha Jewellers in Chas and calling for stricter action to restore public confidence and ensure safety for local traders.
Kumar Amit expressed deep concern over the growing insecurity among businessmen in the district following the daylight heist, saying that such brazen incidents in broad daylight have triggered panic among traders and anger among local residents.
“The Bokaro police must take swift and strict action to arrest the culprits and recover the stolen goods. Strong measures are necessary to restore faith in law enforcement and deter future crimes,” he said.
He urged the police to not only crack down on those involved in the robbery but also to reinforce overall law and order mechanisms in the district, including increasing night patrols and tackling illegal activities with an iron hand.
Kumar Amit also stressed that the rising morale of criminals was behind the recent spike in such bold crimes, and emphasised that timely and visible police action would send a strong message.
The BJP leader further requested that vehicle checking drives should not become a means to harass ordinary citizens, and that such enforcement should be carried out with responsibility and fairness.
SP assured that all necessary steps would be taken to ensure law and order is maintained and that those responsible for the robbery will be brought to justice swiftly.
Several BJP leaders including Shivshankar Rai, Lalbabu, Karan Gorai, Chandraprakash, and Vishal Tiwari were present during the meeting, along with Chas Police Station in-charge Smt. Sushma Devi.
