London: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met King Charles III at the Sandringham Estate in the UK, where the two leaders held a warm and forward-looking discussion on strengthening India-UK ties.
During the meeting, PM Modi expressed delight over the monarch’s recovery and return to royal duties. The leaders engaged in meaningful dialogue on global health, sustainability, and traditional wellness systems like Ayurveda and Yoga, exploring ways to expand their reach worldwide.
A key focus of their interaction was the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which both agreed would mark a new chapter in the bilateral partnership once concluded.

Highlighting India’s strides in renewable energy and sustainable living, PM Modi briefed King Charles on the country’s climate leadership and green initiatives. The two leaders also explored collaboration on climate action, sustainability goals, and strengthening Commonwealth cooperation.
In a symbolic gesture, Modi presented a sapling to the King under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree for Mother) campaign. The sapling is scheduled to be planted at the royal estate in the upcoming autumn season.
The Prime Minister extended an invitation to King Charles to undertake a state visit to India and thanked him for the gracious hospitality.
