Bokaro: Bokaro Steel city’s Sector 9 turned lyrical on Sunday evening as the monthly composition seminar of literary group Sahitya Lok filled the home of litterateur Shailja Jha and theatre artist Shambhu Jha with the rhythms of Sawan, the pulse of patriotism, and the hues of tradition.
Chaired by senior writer Buddhinath Jha and coordinated by Aman Kumar Jha, the session saw poets present works in Hindi, Maithili, and Sanskrit. From Bhutkun Jha’s ‘Dharakund’ to Batohi Kumar’s ‘Vyatha’, Gangesh Kumar Pathak’s ‘Mitrak Samad’, and Shailja Jha’s moving Maithili verses ‘Mon Pran’, ‘Anchinhaar Stree’ and ‘Bajbajaata Zakhm’, the evening was a cascade of emotion and imagery.
Other highlights included Aman Kumar Jha’s ‘Punarjanmak Bhoj’, Amirinath Jha Amar’s ‘Gaam Ghar’, Rajiv Kanth’s satirical ‘Prajatantrak Dhol’, and Arun Pathak’s rousing ‘Hum Hain Bihari, Bihar Hai Gaurav Hamara’. The evening closed with Buddhinath Jha’s excerpts from ‘Om Mahabharat’ and the soulful ‘Ke Kart Bar Jod Sajni’.
In his address, Buddhinath Jha praised Sahitya Lok’s commitment to monthly gatherings, calling such forums vital for nurturing creativity and offering constructive critique. “These seminars keep the flame of literature alive,” he said, urging writers to participate regularly.
