Texas: SpaceX has successfully pulled off its 10th Starship test flight from its Starbase facility in Texas, scoring a series of firsts that bring Elon Musk’s vision of a fully reusable rocket closer to reality.
The towering Super Heavy booster lifted off after weather delays and executed a controlled splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico. Its upper stage, Starship, went on to complete critical maneuvers — including a successful engine relight in space and a soft splashdown in the Indian Ocean.

In a major milestone, SpaceX also demonstrated payload deployment for the first time by releasing mock Starlink satellites during the flight. Engineers confirmed that the mission achieved “all major objectives,” generating crucial data for future deep-space ventures.
The launch marks a sharp turnaround from earlier test flights that ended in fiery crashes or reentry failures. This time, both stages performed largely as intended, validating new heat shield tiles and flight systems.
The achievement comes as SpaceX prepares Starship for high-profile missions, including NASA’s Artemis III Moon landing in 2027 and, further ahead, ambitious crewed missions to Mars.
With this tenth flight, Starship has inched from experimental spectacle toward a practical spacecraft — one that could redefine global space exploration.
