The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has rolled out elaborate arrangements, including volunteer support and improved facilities for smooth movement along the route. New wireless communication sets have also been introduced to strengthen coordination during the rush.
Security has been tightened with a multi-tier grid of police, CRPF, paramilitary forces, and QRTs ensuring safety throughout the nine-day festivities.
The pilgrimage had resumed on September 17 after being suspended for 22 days due to a landslide triggered by torrential rains on August 26, which left several dead and many injured. Since reopening, the yatra has regained momentum, reaffirming devotees’ unwavering faith in the shrine.
