Vedanta ESL Archery Academy Hits Bullseye With 21 Medals, Jharkhand Youth Shine Bright

Bokaro: It was a golden month for Vedanta ESL Archery Academy as its young archers swept the podium with 21 medals, propelling Jharkhand into national spotlight and reinforcing the state’s growing sporting legacy.

At the 16th State Archery Championship held from 14–17 November at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur, 12 archers represented the academy — and 9 of them returned with medals. The tally: 5 Gold, 3 Silver, and 13 Bronze.

State-Level Medal Winners

  • Kuldeep Mahato – 4 Gold, 5 Bronze
  • Sandeep – 3 Bronze
  • Chitranjan Tudu – 1 Bronze
  • Meghnath – 1 Bronze
  • Niroj – 1 Bronze
  • Nirmal – 1 Bronze
  • Doli Kumari – 1 Gold, 1 Silver
  • Bani Munda – 1 Silver
  • Kritika Kumari – 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
  • Taking the momentum further, Kuldeep Mahato shone again at the 42nd NTPC Sub-Junior National Archery Championship held from 22–30 November in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, bringing home three Gold medals in the 20m, Team, and Mixed Team categories.

Commenting on the achievement, Ravish Sharma, Deputy CEO & WTD, ESL Steel Ltd., said: “This triumph reflects the passion and discipline of our young athletes.
