ESL Steel Hosts CSR Partners Meet in Bokaro to Boost Community Development

Bokaro: In a move to review progress, share best practices and strengthen collaborative action for inclusive community development, ESL Steel Limited on Tuesday convened a CSR Partners Meet in Bokaro.

The meet brought together key non-governmental partners—Citizens Foundation, American India Foundation, EMP Bindi, Gramin Seva Sangh, Avileen Foundation and SEEDS—along with ESL’s senior leadership, including Ravish Sharma, Deputy CEO & Whole-Time Director, and Anand Dubey, Chief Financial Officer.

Deliberations focused on the outcomes of ongoing CSR programmes across education, skill development, sports promotion, livelihood enhancement and broader community welfare. Participants also explored ways to deepen partnerships and scale up initiatives to deliver long-term, measurable social impact in communities surrounding ESL’s operations.

Addressing the gathering, Ravish Sharma emphasised the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable development. He said meaningful community transformation cannot be achieved in isolation and acknowledged NGO partners as the backbone of ESL’s CSR journey, helping translate intent into impact through inclusive and purpose-driven initiatives.

A key highlight of the meet was a felicitation ceremony honouring national and state-level archery winners, coaches, project coordinators and NGO partners for their outstanding contributions. The recognition celebrated grassroots excellence and the perseverance driving ESL’s community-focused programmes.

Reaffirming the company’s commitment to responsible growth, CFO Anand Dubey said ESL would continue sustained social investments anchored in strong, long-term partnerships.

The CSR Partners Meet reinforced ESL Steel Limited’s belief that shared ownership, collaboration and community-centric strategies are essential to creating lasting social value, as the company reiterated its commitment to the socio-economic development of communities in and around Bokaro.
