Bokaro’s Poets, Digital Creators Shine at 7th Ranchi Literature Festival

Bokaro/Ranchi: Poets and digital content creators from Bokaro earned wide recognition at the two-day 7th Ranchi Literature Festival, held on December 29–30, 2025, at YBN University, Namkum.

Poets Arun Pathak, Pankaj Das and Abhinav Shankar were conferred the Ranchi Sahitya Shri Award, while emerging digital voices Suraj Kumar, Kajal Sahu and Vivek Nobi received the Jharkhand Content Creator Award.

The festival, themed ‘Developed India 2047 with Literature’, was organised by poet Vishal Pandit under the aegis of P.I.U. Trust. Writers and performers from all 24 districts of Jharkhand, along with national-level literary figures, enthralled audiences with poetry, ghazals, songs and satire.

Former Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto, the chief guest, underlined the role of literature in shaping a refined society and announced efforts to establish a Sahitya Akademi in Jharkhand.

Special guests included Vice-Chancellor Ramji Yadav, Randhir Kumar, Jang Bahadur Pandey, Anjana Verma and Mamta Manish Sinha, among others.

Festival founder Suresh Priyadarshi sent greetings from Delhi, recalling the event’s launch in 2019 to preserve Jharkhand’s literary heritage. National vice-president Ram Ratan Srinivas also extended best wishes.

The seventh edition concluded on December 30 via a virtual session with poets from India and abroad, leaving a strong literary imprint on Ranchi’s cultural calendar and ringing in the New Year 2026 on a celebratory note.
