Bokaro: The 32nd anniversary and traditional Husband’s Night of Mithila Mahila Samiti, a unit of the Mithila Sanskritik Parishad, was celebrated with enthusiasm and rich cultural performances at Milan Mandap, Sector 4.
The programme was jointly inaugurated by Parishad President Jai Prakash Chaudhary, General Secretary Neeraj Chaudhary, Cultural Programme Director Arun Pathak, Mithila Academy Public School Secretary Dilip Jha, and Samiti President Poonam Mishra through the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Guests were felicitated with traditional Mithila paintings.
Welcoming the gathering, Samiti President Poonam Mishra highlighted the organisation’s social initiatives and explained the unique concept of Husband’s Night, an annual event dedicated to honouring the spouses of committee members.

Addressing the audience, Jai Prakash Chaudhary described the Samiti’s activities as socially inspiring, while Neeraj Chaudhary praised its sustained contribution to Mithila’s art, culture, and social welfare. Dilip Jha congratulated the team on completing 32 years and wished them greater success ahead. Arun Pathak noted that for over three decades, the Samiti has played a vital role in connecting the younger generation with Mithila’s cultural heritage.
Led by President Poonam Mishra and Secretary Abha Jha, members presented a series of captivating performances. The evening opened with “Jai Jai Bhairavi Asur Bhayauni…” by legendary poet Vidyapati, followed by “Mangalmay Din Aaju He Pahun Chhathi Aayal…” by Dr. Chandramani Jha. A graceful Jhijhiya dance performance drew special applause. Stage management was handled by Kamala Jha and Babita Jha.
Several social and cultural figures were present on the occasion, lending warmth and support to the celebration, which concluded amid enthusiastic applause and cultural pride.
