Iran Warns Trump: Any US Military Strike Will Be Treated as Act of War

Tehran/Washington: Iran has issued a stern warning to US President Donald Trump, declaring that any American military strike — even a limited one — would be viewed as an act of war and met with a decisive response.

Iranian officials firmly rejected the idea of a “limited strike,” saying there is no such distinction when it comes to attacks on the country’s sovereignty. Tehran signalled that it is fully prepared to retaliate if targeted and warned that US interests and bases in the region could come under threat in the event of military aggression.

The sharp response comes amid rising tensions following Trump’s renewed pressure on Iran over its nuclear programme. The US president has indicated that military options remain on the table if diplomatic efforts fail, while also pushing Tehran to return to negotiations.

Despite the heated rhetoric, both sides are expected to continue indirect nuclear talks in the coming days. Iranian authorities have maintained that a diplomatic path remains possible but stressed that threats and pressure would not force concessions.

The latest exchange has heightened concerns across the Middle East, with observers warning that any miscalculation could trigger a wider regional conflict. While Iran insists it does not seek war, it has made clear that it will respond forcefully to any military move against it.
