Bokaro: The Mithila Sanskritik Parishad will represent Bokaro at the 4th International Malangiya Festival, scheduled in Delhi from April 24 to 28, 2026, with a theatrical performance on the opening day.
According to Cultural Programme Director Arun Pathak, the festival—organised by the Malangiya Foundation in collaboration with the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti—will feature 35 plays by noted writer Mahendra Malangiya, with participation from artists across India and Nepal, aiming to set a world record.
As part of the theme “Ek Natya Yatra: 35 Rang, Ek Rachnakar”, the Bokaro-based troupe will stage the Maithili play Ek Kamal Nor Me at 7:30 PM on April 24 at Shafiq Auditorium, Delhi. The play will be directed by theatre veteran Shambhu Jha and features a cast of Parishad members.
The production, centred on a woman’s life, is currently in rehearsal at the Vidyapati Auditorium of Mithila Academy Public School. Organisers and members of the Parishad have expressed optimism and extended best wishes for a successful performance at the international festival.
