Hailing from a modest family in the Kasmar block of Bokaro district, Chhoti’s achievement has become a symbol of determination and perseverance. The daughter of a daily-wage labourer employed at a ration shop, she cracked the state exam without private tuition or coaching, overcoming severe financial hardships through disciplined self-study.
Speaking after her result, Chhoti said regular study and consistency were the keys to her success. She devoted nearly five hours daily to self-study while drawing motivation from her family’s struggles.
Her inspiring journey has resonated across Jharkhand, particularly among students from rural and economically weaker backgrounds.
Dreams of Becoming an IAS Officer
Despite the celebrations, Chhoti remains focused on her larger goal — becoming an IAS officer. “I have seen my father struggle every day. I want to become an IAS officer and work for the poor and needy,” she said.
Her success story is now being hailed as a powerful message for young girls across the state that poverty cannot stop those who dare to dream big.
