AGM in Mumbai to Focus on Media Ethics, Journalism and Future Roadmap
News Desk: The Association of Indian Journalists (AIJ) is set to hold its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday (July 26) in Mumbai, bringing together journalists, media professionals and office-bearers from across the country to discuss the future of journalism, media ethics and organisational development.
The day-long meeting will be held at Navneet Gujarati Samaj Bhavan, Link Road, Adarsh Nagar, Andheri West. The proceedings will begin with the Maharashtra State AGM in the morning, followed by the National Executive AGM in the evening.
AIJ National President Vikram Sen will formally inaugurate the meeting. Senior members of the association will present annual reports, review the organisation’s activities, outline future initiatives and discuss key issues concerning the media fraternity. Outstanding journalists will also be felicitated for their contributions to the profession.
The event is expected to serve as a platform for meaningful discussions on responsible journalism, professional growth, media ethics and greater collaboration among journalists from different states.
Representing Jharkhand, AIJ State President and senior journalist Mukesh Kumar Sinha will participate in the meeting along with members of the state unit.
The association has appealed to its members and invited dignitaries to actively participate in the proceedings and contribute to strengthening ethical journalism while fostering unity within the journalistic community.
