Kejriwal and Family Get Election Commission Notices
New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, along with four members of his family, has received notices under the Election Commission’s ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Kejriwal, his wife Sunita Kejriwal, parents Gobind Ram and Geeta Devi, and son Pulkit Kejriwal have been listed under the “Unmapped with Last SIR” category, meaning their current voter details could not be matched with the previous SIR records. They are among 110 voters in the concerned part of the New Delhi Assembly constituency who received such notices.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has also received a notice over a reported “logical discrepancy” in her voter details. However, the Election Commission said her entry was subsequently verified through field verification and scrutiny of documents and has been validated for inclusion in the final electoral roll.

Election officials have clarified that receiving an SIR notice does not automatically mean deletion from the voter list. The notices are part of the verification process, giving affected electors an opportunity to establish their eligibility and clarify discrepancies before the final roll is published.
More than 33 lakh Delhi electors have been flagged for either non-mapping with the previous SIR or logical discrepancies. The development comes amid continuing scrutiny of the ongoing voter-roll revision process in the national capital.
