I-Day observed with patriotic fervor, enthusiasm across Bokaro

Bokaro: Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm across the Bokaro amid Coronavirus pandemic.

On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day Celebration, Jagarnath Mahato, Minister of School Education & Literacy, Excise & Prohibition departments, Government of Jharkhand, unfurled the tri colour at Police Line Ground Bokaro and outlined the developmental activities being done by the state government.

At Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) Independence Day celebrations were organized at the Administrative Building complex. Executive Director (Projects and Personnel and Administration) R Kushwaha unfurled the national flag and took the salute of the parade.

On this eve Kushwaha honored the Corona warriors of the Bokaro General Hospital (BGH), BSL Fire Fighting Services, Public Health and Central Industrial Security Force Bokaro Unit at the ceremony with a citation for their remarkable contribution in the battle of COVID-19.

Apart from this, the winners of the Birsa Munda Excellence Award and Commendation Award were announced on the occasion of Independence Day. After the ceremony, Kushwaha along with his senior colleagues also planted a tree at City Park.

DPS Bokaro celebrated Independence Day on its campus remembering the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and security of the country. The national flag was hoisted by Principal, DPS Bokaro, A. S. Gangwar, on the premises of both the primary and senior wing of the school.

While Delhi Public School Chas celebrated the day in a grandeur style at its school campus in the presence of dozens of teachers and non-teaching staff. The crescendo of patriotic fervour was set up with the theme ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat – Swatantra Bharat’ to celebrate the 74 years of Independence Day.

The celebrations to mark this day commenced with the hoisting of the “Tricolour” by the Officiating Principal of DPS, Chas, Shailaja Jayakumar followed by National Anthem and singing of Vande Mataram and other patriotic songs. On this occasion, the whole school echoed with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Matram” as everyone took a pledge to serve the nation and contribute towards making the nation self-reliant and independent – “Aatmanirbhar aur Swatantra”.

In her address from Delhi the Chief Mentor of the school, Dr. Hemlata S Mohan through the virtual platform said, “India has always had a vision for the development of the world.
