Vedanta-Electrosteel organises Virtual Rangoli Competition

Bokaro: With an objective of overall development of students’ creative skills Vedanta-Electrosteel (ESL), conducted an online Rangoli Competition around Diwali. The competition was organised at ESL’s Prerna Centres; around 100 students consisting of 20 teams have participated in the event, informed ESL Public Relations official.

The students were divided into two groups according to their classes- Group A had students from class 4 to 6 and Group B, classes 7 to 10. The event was judged by the CSR team, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Vandana Surin, Programme Coordinator said, “We could not meet physically because of Corona so this competition was held virtually through Zoom so that children can learn even during the lockdown and pandemic.”

“This is the first time an inter centre competition was held,” he added.

We have tried to make children compete with each other to improve their sportsman spirit as well as their creative skills.

Ashish Ranjan, Head–Community Relations said, “I am proud that ESL is making rapid progress in community development with small yet significant efforts. The Rangoli Competition saw active participation from Prerna Centres which were primarily established to highlight the talent of students and make them future-ready with quality education.

“I congratulate the winners and hope that they continue to display their talents in future through more such events,” he added
