RNS: Aiming to promote sporting activities in the city, SAIL- Bokaro Steel Plant has come forward in a big way by setting up of a modern, well-equipped state-of-the-art Indoor Badminton Hall at the Sports Complex, Sector 4 in Bokaro.
Amrendu Praksh, the director-in-charge of SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), inaugurated the indoor badminton hall on Sunday. The indoor Badminton Hall is having an international level two Synthetic Turfed Courts.
This one of its kind Indoor Badminton Hall of international standards in Jharkhand has left the entire sports fraternity of Bokaro elated. This facility will facilitate and empower future champions from Bokaro to hone their skills in badminton and bring laurels for the country at international levels, informed Jaideep Sarkar International Coach & Lead Officer, Global Active City (GAC) Bokaro.
This second Indoor Badminton Court is in addition to one Indoor Badminton court already present in the sports complex. With this, Sports Complex at Bokaro now boasts of three synthetic Indoor Badminton Courts.
Notably, Director-in-charge BSL had declared this year as a year of sports and well-being and this facility is a step in that direction. He congratulated all concerned and extended his best wishes to the sports enthusiasts in the city.
Besides, other Executive Directors and senior officials of the plant and the enthusiastic sports lovers of Bokaro were present during the inaugural eve.
