Bokaro. A cultural programme, ‘Sawan Milan’, was organized by the Mithila Mahila Samiti, a social and cultural organization unit of Mithila Sanskritik Parishad.
The programme was organised in the auditorium of Mithila Academy Public School, Sector 4, on Friday evening. Along with music and dance, various competitions were also organized on this occasion, in which everyone enthusiastically participated, informed Arun Pathak, Press Secretory of the Parishad.
Bharti Jha got the first position while Smita Chaudhary second and Savita Mishra third position in ‘Siya Sundari’ competition organized during the Sawan Milan program, said Pathak.
Mamta Jha, Upasana Jha, Preeti Priya, Poonam Singh, Poonam Lal, Madhulata Jha, and Jayanti Pathak were awarded in the Dala Decoration Competition. The best performer award went to Preeti Rai and Mamta Jha.
The jury of the competitions included Sheela Mishra, Amita Jha and Abha Jha. President of Mithila Mahila Samiti Kiran Mishra said that from time to time programmes related to the culture of Mithila are organized by the committee, as well as for the upliftment of the society and for the help of the poor.
Besides others, Chanda Jha, Anju Jha, Asha Jha, Ruby Thakur, Usha Jha, Nutan Jha, Pushpa Rani Karn, Poonam Mishra, Indira Jha, Kanchan Jha, Seema Jha, Munni Jha, Sujata Jha, Kiran Jha, Nanda Jha, Rita Jha were present on occasion.
