Bokaro: ‘Manipadm’ Smriti Jayanti Celebration cum Maithili Kavi Sammelan was organized by Mithila Sanskritik Parishad at Mithila Academy Public School, Sector 4E in Bokaro Steel City.
Senior lyricist Siya Ram Jha ‘Saras’, poet Kumar Manish Arvind, poetess Runa Rashmi ‘Deep’ (Ranchi), senior litterateur Dr Jai Prakash Chaudhary ‘Janak’, famous lyricist Dr Chandramani Jha, Manikant Jha (Darbhanga) mesmerized the audience by reciting poems and songs during the event.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Bokaro SP Chandan Kumar Jha, guest of honor DIG CRPF Dilip Chaudhary, former general secretary of Mithila Sanskriti Parishad Balram Chaudhary, Harimohan Jha, Satish Chandra Jha, President Anil Kumar, Vice-president Animesh Kumar Jha, Rajendra Kumar, General Secretary Avinash Kumar Jha by lighting the lamp and garlanding the picture of Manipadam.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Jha, appreciated the event organized on the occasion of Manipadma Jayanti and said that the art and culture of Mithila are unique; wherever we live, we must stay connected with our language and culture. He also stressed the need to keep the youth engaged with our rich culture.
Remembering Manipadm as a multi-faceted writer, Tula Nand Mishra, former General Secretary of the Parishad, discussed other works, including his Sahitya Akademi award-winning work ‘Naika Banjara’ (novel).
Besides others, Arun Pathak, Rabindra Jha, Samarendra Jha, Pradeep Jha, Avinash Jha Avi, Kiran Mishra, Kanjan Jha, Madhu Jha, Bahran Jha, Neeraj Chaudhary, Sunil Mohan Thakur, Rambabu Chaudhary, Sunil Chaudhary, Aman Jha, Gangesh Pathak, Govind Kumar Jha, PK Jha Chandan, Batohi Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Jha, Kaushal Kumar Rai, Shrimohan Jha, Shravan Kumar Jha, Harishchandra Jha, Rajiv Kanth, Dr. Ranjana Srivastava were present on occasion.
